Copenhagen, the vibrant Danish capital, is within convenient reach from Lolland. The journey to Copenhagen takes aprrox. 1.5 to 2 hours by car, depending on traffic conditions. Alternatively, public transportation options a train ride of around 2 to 2.5 hours. 

Lolland also provides ferry services to the nearby island of Fyn (Funen). The ferry ride from Lolland to Fyn takes approximately 45 minutes, providing a pleasant journey across the waters. 

This strategic location gains even more importance with the ongoing construction of the Femern Belt Fixed Link, an ambitious infrastructure project that will establish a direct road and rail connection between Denmark and Germany.

Being close to Germany, Lolland offers a direct ferry connection from Rødby to Puttgarden, with a crossing time of around 45 minutes. This proximity makes Lolland a convenient base for exploring destinations such as Hamburg, Berlin etc. By car, the drive from Lolland to Hamburg takes around 3 to 3.5 hours. Train connections are also available, with a typical travel time of approximately 3 to 4 hours. 

Exciting developments lie ahead for Lolland with the upcoming opening of the Femern Belt Fixed Link. This impressive infrastructure project will directly connect Lolland to Germany, significantly reducing travel time to various German destinations.
